One of the contents is the types and degrees of defects that are not allowed to appear on the castings, and even the inspection and methods are included in the specifications.

The basis for quality inspection of cone sleeve pulley castings is:; Casting drawings, casting process documents, relevant standards, and technical conditions for delivery and acceptance of castings.

The quality of cone sleeve pulley castings is divided into appearance quality and internal quality. The appearance quality of castings includes:; Dimensional tolerances of castings, surface roughness of castings, weight tolerances of castings, residual amount of sprues and risers, welding quality of castings, and surface defects, etc; The inherent quality of castings includes:; Mechanical properties, chemical properties, chemical composition, metallographic structure, internal defects, etc. of castings. In addition, it also includes various special physical and chemical properties required by relevant standards or casting delivery technical conditions.

According to the quality inspection results of large pulley and tapered pulley castings, castings are usually divided into three categories; Qualified products, repaired products, and scrap products. Qualified refers to castings whose appearance and internal quality meet relevant standards or delivery acceptance conditions; Repaired products refer to castings whose appearance and internal quality do not meet relevant standards or delivery acceptance conditions, but are allowed to be repaired and can meet the standards and delivery acceptance conditions after repair; It is not allowed to repair castings that still fail to meet the standards and acceptance conditions after repair.

The quality inspection methods for castings can adopt two different inspection methods: full inspection and random inspection, depending on the production scale, production mode, importance of castings, maturity and stability of casting processes, and different inspection items.
